Kāfæ Mūl Chāng   Welcome! You may have heard the buzz about coffee made from beans eaten and excreted by elephants. We believe we are producing not only the most exclusive and interesting coffee in the world, but we are having a positive impact on the lives of elephants in Thailand and on the lives of tribal people in Thailand’s northwest region.

The idea for Kāfæ Mūl Cĥāng began with a conversation about coffee. We are people with a keen desire to leave the world a better place — for our children and all the other beings that inhabit our incredible Earth with us. With Kāfæ Mūl Cĥāng, we want to help shift consumption of coffee away from production that destroys forests, exploits workers and puts massive amounts of toxic chemicals onto the land. Instead, we believed we could create greater demand for coffee
that supports organic production, helps improve the lives of those who grow it and, in this case, even helps improve the lives of domesticated elephants and generates funds for conservation of wild elephant habitat.

So, we decided to try an experiment: could we find the absolute highest-quality, strictly-organic, beyond-co-op-produced coffee cherries in Thailand, align with the growers, align with the elephants and their caretakers around our homestead, feed the coffee to ‘their’ elephants, hand-process the excreted beans and align with only the finest roasters? It has taken us four years… but we believe we’ve done it.

Our efforts have yielded a very exclusive quantity of small-batch beans that are unique in the world. We think you’ll enjoy the experience as much as we do.
